How to select the low voltage distribution box (1)

Low voltage distribution box is the lowest level of control and protection facilities in the power system, which is the most basic link to ensure the safe operation of the power system.

1.It has a great chance to contact with workers, but because of its large quantity, wide distribution and low value products, it is often ignored by the power department of equipment, so that many low-voltage distribution boxes are out of control, resulting in unsafe factors, increasing the risk of personal electric shock and electrical fire.

Therefore, we must pay attention to the safety selection and use of low-voltage distribution box.

2. The protection type of low-voltage distribution box shall be selected according to the conditions of the workplace.

（1） In places with relative humidity less than 75%, no dust, corrosive gas or vapor, and no inflammable and explosive substances, the low-voltage distribution box can be open type.

（2） Protective type shall be selected in the extremely humid places with relative humidity close to 100% and places with corrosive gas or vapor.

（3） The dust-proof distribution box shall be selected for the dusty place that can produce a lot of dust.

（4） In H-1 and H-2 fire hazard areas with combustible liquid, suspended and stacked combustible dust or combustible fiber, dust-proof type shall be selected;

In the H-3 fire hazard area with solid combustible materials, protective type is optional.
