    I. classification of electric energy meter

    1. According to the structure and working principle: inductive energy meter and electronic energy meter. Electronic energy meter can be further divided into full electronic energy meter and electromechanical pulse energy meter.

    2. According to the accuracy level: ordinary level: 0.2S, 0.2, 0.5s, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, which is used to measure electric energy. Precision level: 0.01, 0.05, which is mainly used as the calibration reference of ordinary level watt hour meter.

    3. According to the purpose: (1) active energy meter. (2) reactive energy meter. (3) maximum demand scale. (4) rate energy meter. (5) multifunction electric energy meter. (6) according to the nature of the connected power supply, it can be divided into: alternating current energy meter and direct current energy meter. (7) according to the installation and wiring mode of the meter, it can be divided into direct access type and indirect access type (accessed through the transformer); because of the different measuring circuits, it is usually divided into single-phase watt hour meter, three-phase three wire watt hour meter and three-phase four wire watt hour meter. (8) according to the length of average life, single-phase induction meters can be divided into ordinary and long-life technical meters.

    II. Precautions in use

    1. Ordinary meter. Do not use electricity in overload. Long time overload will cause inaccurate measurement until the meter is burnt.

    2. Prepaid electric energy meter. Pay attention to the alarm prompt of electricity meter and purchase electricity in time. To understand the basic characteristics of Prepaid energy meter, such as automatic power failure and various error prompts on the meter when "overload" occurs, and to master the operation of their own meters at any time, and to contact the management department in time in case of any problems.

    3. Multifunctional electric energy meter. We should know the price of electricity in different periods, try to avoid peak areas, and use more low-cost electricity.
