1. Different working principles

Baking paint is a kind of industrial paint. It is divided into water-based metal baking paint and oil-based metal baking paint. The water-based metal baking varnish is a kind of environmental protection paint, which takes water as the solvent, while the oil-based metal baking varnish takes organic solvent as the solvent. The method is to grind the material to a certain roughness and spray several layers of paint. After baking at high temperature, the process has high requirements for paint and good color rendering.

Spray molding is a surface treatment method of spraying plastic powder on parts. Spray molding is also known as electrostatic powder spray coating. Its processing technology is a kind of decoration technology which has been widely used in the world since 1980s.

2. The difference between the two advantages

The paint is not sticky, the film is not easy to bond with other substances, and the thin film also shows good non adhesion performance. Moreover, the paint is heat-resistant and moisture-resistant, and has a very low friction property. Under high load, it has excellent wear resistance. Under a certain load, it has the double advantages of wear resistance and non adhesion. The paint is not easy to be eroded by drugs, which can protect the parts from any kind of chemical corrosion.

Spray molding does not need diluents, and the construction has no pollution to the environment and no toxicity to human body. The coating has excellent appearance quality, strong adhesion and mechanical strength, short curing time of spraying construction, high corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and no primer is required. In some construction occasions, it has been clearly proposed that electrostatic spraying process must be used for treatment, and there will be no common flow phenomenon in the process of electrostatic spraying.

3. Different appearance hardness

The hardness and adhesion of spray paint is higher than that of baking paint, and the appearance brightness of baking paint is better. Both of them are used for appearance protection, but the ones with higher appearance requirements are generally baking paint, of course, the high-grade metal plastic powder can also be used for the appearance of cars.

In addition, the pre-treatment of the two is not the same. Generally, pickling and phosphating treatment should be carried out to increase the adhesion of the coating film, so as to improve the corrosion resistance, while only rust removal treatment is required for spray molding.

Generally speaking, the gloss and roughness of spray paint are worse than that of baking paint; spray paint is generally thicker than baking paint; the adhesion and corrosion resistance of spray paint are better than baking paint; the curing temperature of spray paint is as high as 180 degrees, and the baking paint is generally at the lowest 80 degrees; the surface treatment of spray paint can be simple, without primer, while baking paint needs primer when painting.

The difference lies in the different ways. The so-called baking paint is baking and curing after spraying; the so-called spraying plastic is the common name of electrostatic powder spraying.
